Clay and Culture is a brand of  Newport Travel . Newport Travel is a trading name of The Top Travel Group Pty Ltd and a member of the Travel Partners/Flight Centre Travel Group network of independent travel agents.

All bookings with Newport Travel are subject to the following terms and conditions.


Newport Travel acts as an agent only. We offer and book a range of travel services (which may include but are not limited to flights, accommodation, cruises, coach tours, car hire, rail services, sightseeing and experiences) on behalf of others who provide those services. Our duties to you are limited to arranging bookings on your behalf with those service providers. We are not responsible for providing those services to you, or for the standard of any service provided. If a service provider fails to provide you with a service, or you are not satisfied with the standard of any service provided, you agree that your only rights are directly against the service provider and not against us. You agree that we are not liable to you for any losses that you suffer in those circumstances, and that you will not claim against Newport Travel (directly or indirectly) any refund, credit or other compensation.


As all Newport Travel customised itineraries and packages are based on confidential and specially negotiated rates with various suppliers, we reserve the right and will not give out nor supply a breakdown of costs at any time.

The information presented in this itinerary & costing is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of proposal and the quoted price is valid for 24 hours only.

Please check with us to reconfirm availability and pricing when you are ready to proceed with your deposit payment to confirm your booking.

All costings are for payments by cash, cheque or direct deposit. Payment by credit card are subject to a 2% processing fee for Visa, Mastercard and American Express. For payments by direct deposit or EFT our bank account details are:

When paying by direct deposit, bank or internet transfer, please quote your last name and/or booking number and forward a copy of your receipt to Newport Travel by email to sales@newporttravel.com.au


A minimum deposit of 35% of the package cost is payable within 3 days of confirmation of your booking. A higher deposit of up to 100% may be required by airlines, some accommodation and tour operators, and over the Christmas period or school holidays.

All deposits are deducted from final payments and are not an additional charge. All Newport Travel deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE from the time of payment and should be protected by travel insurance.

The balance is due in full 90 days prior to departure unless otherwise stated. Bookings made within this period must be fully paid upon confirmation. The balance of your holiday payment must be received by Newport Travel no later than 2pm AEST time on the date specified in the invoice. Newport Travel will not be held responsible for any penalty amounts or surcharges levied by suppliers/operators resulting from late payment.


Fluctuations in exchange rates are beyond our control. We reserve the right to increase any prices at any time without prior notice to take into account exchange rate fluctuations. Newport Travel will notify of any price variation due to currency rates at time of quotation, deposit and final payment.

NOTE: Bookings paid in full are protected from increases due to currency fluctuation. Bookings can be paid in full at any time to provide protection from price increases due to currency fluctuation.


It is a condition of booking with most operators that you are adequately insured for the full duration of your tour or cruise.

We strongly recommend that insurance be purchased at the time you pay your deposit as our cancellation conditions will be strictly enforced.


If it is necessary to cancel your holiday, you should notify us immediately in writing and this will take

effect the day it is received by us. All monies will be forfeited as follows:

Number of days before departure:

More than 90 days – Loss of deposit

Less than 90 days – no refund

^ Some airlines, tour operators, accommodations and cruise lines charge higher cancellation fees. These will be advised at time of quoting and included in your non-refundable deposit.

In the case of unforeseen cancellation of services while you are away, please note that employees of our overseas tour operators are not authorised to make any undertakings on behalf of Newport Travel regarding refunds or other matters. After travel has commenced, additional costs incurred due to changes in your itinerary (eg due to airline schedule changes) must be settled directly by you and any requests for refunds must be made on your return or included in a travel insurance claim.


Due to the extra administrative costs, there will be an automatic minimum charge of $110 per amendment, in addition to any cancellation or amendment fees levied by our suppliers.

When deferring travel, normal cancellation fees apply if you wish to postpone your departure.

In both cases, these extra costs may be claimable on your travel insurance.


For all international destinations you should be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay overseas.

For security reasons, airlines and the majority of our tour operators require your name on the booking to be exactly as it appears in your passport. It is your responsibility to advise these details. If you do not advise the correct information and we have to re-issue airline tickets or other documentation, then we will bill you for all costs incurred, such as airline cancellation charges and courier fees, in addition to our own administration fee.

Upon receipt of your deposit we will provide you with destination information such as visas required for your itinerary and how to obtain them.

Please note that our staff are unable to offer information regarding travel visas for nationalities other than Australian. Foreign nationals require a re-entry visa for Australia, which should be obtained before departure.

Newport Travel will not be held responsible for passengers travelling with expired passports or without the correct travel documents and authorisations and cannot be held liable for any costs arising from rejected Visa applications or denial of entry to any country for any reason.

Newport Travel is not itself a carrier or hotelier nor does it own aircraft, hotels or vehicles. The company exercises every care in the selection of carriers, hotels, tour operators and the suppliers of the travel services proposed.

All bookings with Newport Travel are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by the other suppliers some of whom limit or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay and loss of or damage to baggage and may require the participant to complete a release of indemnity form prior to commencing the arrangements.

All tickets, vouchers and documents are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which the other suppliers provide their services and the company is not responsible for carrier caused delays. The terms of your contract are those terms and conditions under which the other suppliers provide their services.

Newport Travel is not liable in any way for the acts, omissions or default whether negligent or otherwise of the other suppliers pursuant to a contract between the other suppliers and you (which may be evidenced by a ticket, voucher or other document) because the company has no control over the other suppliers.

Should Newport Travel or its other partners/suppliers deem it desirable for political, climatic, overbooking of hotels/lodges or other unforeseeable reasons to amend or vary any itinerary it may do so by shortening, varying or completely re-routing the trip in which case no objection or claim for compensation will be made by the participant against Newport Travel.

Newport Travel advises that it is compulsory to take out insurance against the above-mentioned risks for your protection.
